Internet Boot Funnies

Every now and then, I look at what people search for on the internet and whose searches direct visitors to my website. Some of these questions are odd, some are serious, some are indicative that people cannot spell or use grammar, and some are downright funny.

Boats with Kkakis

No, sorry, I do not know how to wear a boat with khakis. I think wearing such a thing would make it difficult to get through doors, don’t you?

Cowboy Boots Considered Kosher?

While I am not Jewish, I grew up in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood, and learned a lot about what is considered kosher. But as I have said all along, boots are to be worn, not eaten. I think a rabbi would approve. (To answer the question — no big deal if the color of boots matches the pants. See this previous blog post).

Cowboy boots look stumpy

I really have no words…

Cans about Boots

A demonstration once again that most people do not understand that the word in English, “can”, means “is it possible?” YES, you CAN wear boots with a suit, slacks, khakis, and to the office. You CAN mix colors of a hat, pants, and boots. (See above). What these questions demonstrate is both curiosity as well as fear of not conforming to unstated norms. Heck with conformity! Wear boots!

Do Cowboy Boots Look? — on Suits?

Last I checked, cowboy boots do not look at anything. However, the guy wearing cowboy boots with a suit will see many looks of admiration from guys who are afraid of what other people may say and cower in fear while wearing dorky dress shoes.

Dos about Boots

The “Dos” are a combination of serious questions as well as silly. As I said above, YES, guys DO wear boots with dress clothes to work. Real men DO wear boots (always better than fake men, I think). Work boots DO look better with jeans than, say, a business suit. And no, you DO NOT need to be a cowboy to wear boots!

Some of the serious “do” questions answered: 1) python skin is more fragile than leather. 2) if your jeans will not fit over boots, then your jeans taper too narrowly — get straight-leg Wranglers to resolve this problem. Don’t cut your jeans! 3) Most guys do not wear silver tips (called “rands”) on boots. Boots with rands these days are usually the cheap kind made of plastic.

I hope you enjoyed this view of what searches done by Americans bring to my website. Funny stuff!

Life is short: wear boots, stand tall, and smile!
